| Lucio Valdéz,
Ernesto Azzurro, in art Lucio Valdéz, is an Ichthyologist, Phd in Marine Biology and Ecology – Researcher at the ICRAM, Central Institute of Marine Research in Italy . His artistic production combine a fine arte technique with an ongoing scientific background in Ichthyology. Primary research interest focus on the biology and ecology of invasive fish species in Mediterranean . He his author and co-author of national and international scientific publications.
His mostly used techniques for scientific illustration are the stippling on paper, the scratchboard drawing on polyester sheets and also digital works. His portfolio include both scientific and fantastic representations of fishes and other marine animals.
His drawing have been exhibited in galleries and art shows in Italy , Spain and France and published in various Scientific Journals and mass-circulation magazines.

Domingo Lloris,
PhD in Biological Sciences, is researcher at the Marine Sciences Institute
(CMIMA - CSIC) of Barcelona. Since 1970 he produced a large amount of
scientific drawing of fishes, characterized by an high degree of realism.
In these drawings, his artistic capacities are supported by a large experience
in different fields of the marine ichthyology (Taxonomy, Systematics,
Biogeography, and Ecology), and an international working history. Primary
research interest and experiences focused on sublitoral ecosystems from
different oceanographical regions (Indic, Pacific, Atlantic and Mediterranean).
Particularly, he has paid special attention to the deep marine systems
beyond 1000 meters depth. Currently, he is responsible of the Biological
Collections of Reference of the Marine Sciences Institute. He has been
part of 44 research projects, either national or international, taken
part in 35 surveys in different oceanographic vessels (either spanish
or foreign), and author of more than 100 publications. Since 1970, his
drawing have been used to illustrate scientific papers, books and, mass
circulation magazines.
